Nuestro proyecto /Our project
Este proyecto surge de la inquietud de cuatro profesores del IES GÖMEZ-MORENO de Madrid por mejorar su competencia lingüística en inglés y contribuir a la mejora de esta competencia en los alumnos con menor motivación y mayores dificultades, especialmente el alumnado sordo.
El título de este proyecto nos invita como docentes a tender puentes, acortar distancias y superar diferencias entre las distintas realidades de los alumnos de nuestro centro: programa y sección, oyentes y alumnos con discapacidad auditiva, alumnos con diferencias en cuanto a recursos económicos....
Los profesores implicados son Eshter M. Pérez Jimenez, M. Isabel Sánchez Hierro, José Manuel Ruiz Llorente y juan Carlos Sanz Cobos.
Contamos con la inestimable colaboración del departamento de Ingles, logopeda e intérpretes de lengua de signos
Los alumnos que están participando en este proyecto corresponden a 2º y 3º de la Eso
El proyecto incluye actividades con y para los alumnos y movilidades para los profesores.

This project invites us, teachers, to bridge the gaps and to overcome differences
between different realities of our school students: the standard curriculum design and the bilingual section, both hearing and deaf/hard of hearing students, social economic diversity…
The teachers involved in this project are: Esther M. Pérez Jiménez, Mª Isabel Sánchez Hierro,
Jose Manuel Ruiz Llorente and Juan Carlos Sanz Cobos.
We also rely on the invaluable collaboration of the school English and Speech Therapy
Departments and the assistance of some of the sign language interpreters.
The students participating in this project are from first to thirth grade of secondary school.
The project includes activities with and for students and mobility for the teachers involved.
The origin of the project “BRIDGING THE GAP” is the concern of four teachers from theSecondary Education College IES GÓMEZ-MORENO, located in Madrid, who were willing toimprove their own competences in English language and to contribute to improve these same competences in less motivated students, or those with more difficulties, specifically pupils with hearing impairments, a very important and sensitive community in our College.
